The students
- are enabled to research, structure and appropriately cite scientific literature
- learn basic elements of scientific working methods (researching and citing)
- are able to independently produce scientific texts and express this at an appropriate linguistic level
- receive a summary of elementary concepts and methods from analysis (differentiation, integration and differential equations), linear algebra (linearprogramming) and statistics (distribution functions, probability measures)
- learn the basic use of computer algebra systems (e.g. Matlab) and programming languages (e.g. Python)
